Theresa Loraine Diehl Dunston, R.N. age 85 passed away Friday, April 6, 2018 at her home. She was born March 2, 1933 in Republic, Pa, a daughter of Frank Diehl, Sr. and Mary Ann (Martin) Diehl.
She was a life long member of First Christian Church in Republic.
Theresa was a graduate of Redstone High School class of 1951 and the Uniontown School of Nursing which she attended from 1952 to 1955. She continued her education in Morgantown University, Waynesburg College, California Teacher’s College where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (now called California University of PA).
She was employed as a Registered Nurse for the Uniontown Hospital for seven years and as an Industrial Nurse for the former Fruehauf Corp. from which she retired early after 26 years of service.
Theresa loved to camp. She played darts and bowled.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by: husband, Dale Eugene Dunston; sister, Dolores Diehl Mullen; brother, Bernard M. Diehl; step son, George Dunston; niece, Darlene Diehl Novak.
She is survived by: brother, Frank H. Diehl of Westlake, OH; sister in law, Corrine Diehl of Madison, OH;11 dearly loved nieces and nephews and their families, who returned her love, Neil (Donna) Mullen of Richmond Hts, OH, Kevin (Judy) Mullen of Eastlake, OH, Keith Mullen of Eastlake, OH, Scott Terri) Mullen of Mentor, OH, Susan Ledford (James Kelly) of Jefferson, OH, Kimberly (Kevin) Dahlhausen of Westlake, OH, David Diehl of Westlake, OH, Dianna Diehl Sumer of Chardon, OH, Joyce (Bob) Overcasher of Avon Lake, OH, Jeanne Diehl of Cleveland, OH, John Diehl of Chardon, OH; step son, Gregory (Donna) Dunston of Rockville, MD; step daughter in law, Christine Dunston of Connellsville, PA; many step grandchildren; many great nieces and nephews
Theresa’s family will receive friends on Monday, April 9, 2018, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in Kish-Fabry Funeral Home, Inc., 1 Legion Street, Republic, PA, 15475. Additional visitation will be held on Tuesday at the First Christian Church, Republic, PA from 10 – 11 a.m. the hour of her funeral service with Rev. Charles House, officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH.
Interment will follow Lafayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, PA 15715.
