Steven Gerald Mehalik

Steven G. Mehalik, age 75 of Merrittstown, PA passed away on Sunday, September 28, 2025 in WVU Uniontown Hospital, Uniontown, PA. He was born in Brownville, PA on September 7, 1950 the son of the late Steve and Caterine Pavlock Mehalik.

Steve was a former member of the Holy Rosary R. C. Church, Republic, Pa and present member of St Francis of Assisi Parish Footedale, PA. Steve graduated from Brownsville High School Class of 1968. He also graduated from California State College Class of 1972.

Steve is survived by his sister, Marcia Albani and her husband David of Keyser, WV; nieces: Lauren Zalar of Pittsburgh, Vanessa Maybury of Charlotte, NC.

Steve’s family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 from 9:15 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. in the Kish Fabry Funeral Home, Inc., 19 Legion Street, Republic, PA where Prayers of Transfer will be prayed at 10:15 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. in St Francis of Assisi Parish (Footedale Worship Site) with Rev. Vincent Concepcion, celebrant. Interment to follow in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Republic, PA.
