Robert Eugene Stoken, Sr.

Robert Eugene Stoken, Sr., age 77 of Fairbank, passed away at his home on Friday, March 29, 2019. He was born on January 28, 1942 in Smithfield a son of Joseph A. and Mildred (Krempasky) Stoken.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, James F. Stoken.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Sandra (Barkley) Stoken; daughter, Christine Stoken; sons: Robert Eugene (Lisa) Stoken II, Joseph Anthony (Cheryl) Stoken Sr.; six grandchildren: Joseph Jr., Chevelle, James, Summer, Preslie Stoken and Andrea Capan; great grandson, Lucas Capan; four sisters: Margaret (Frank) Arenas, Annie Watson, Irene (Robert) Benucci and Susan (David) Ballard; many nieces and nephews.

Robert proudly served his country in the United States Army. He retired after 22 years from the USPS as a rural carrier. He loved his horses and racing at the Meadows Racetrack. He was a great husband, father, grandfather and brother who adored his family. Robert was loved by many and will be missed by all.

Bob’s family will receive friends on Monday. April 1, 2019, from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2019, from 2-4 and 6-8 at the Kish-Fabry Funeral Home, Inc., 20 N. Mill Street, New Salem, PA. Additional visitation will take place Wednesday, April 3, 2019, from 10 – 11a.m. the hour of his funeral service with Pastor Michael Lyons, officiating. Interment will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, PA where full military honors will be accorded by the General George C. Marshall AMVETS Post 103, Hopwood, PA.
