Paul Edward Dirda

Paul E. Dirda, age 81 of Uniontown, Pa passed away on Monday, June 23, 2025 at Lafayette Manor, Uniontown, Pa. He was born July 11, 1943 in Thompson #2, Pa a son of John and Ann (Bilconish) Dirda.  

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rose M. (Yocabet) Dirda; three sisters: Anna Mae Dirda, Betty Dirda, Charlotte M. Dirda; two brothers: Michael Dirda in infancy, Robert Dirda; sister in law, Mary Dirda.

Paul was a member of the St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church in Brownsville, Pa. He was a retired Maintenance Electrician Supervisor, over the years he devoted his time to his faith and volunteering his time and skills.  Paul enjoyed spending time in his garden, helping his family and even more so spending time with his grandchildren.

Paul is survived by his son, Paul Dirda and his wife Bobbie Jean of Uniontown, Pa; grandchildren: Austin Dirda & Harlie Dirda of Uniontown, Pa; brothers: John Dirda, Jr. of Northfield, OH, Thomas Dirda and his wife Mary of Robinson Township, Pa; many special nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Paul’s family will receive friends at the Kish - Fabry Funeral Home, Inc. 19 Legion Street, Republic, PA on Sunday, June 29, 2025 from 2 - 4 PM and 6 - 8 PM and Monday, June 30, 2025, until 9:15 AM when a Panachida Service will be held. A Divine Liturgy will follow at 10:00 AM in the St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church 302 Third St. Brownsville, PA with the Rev. Fr. Jerome Botsko as celebrant. Interment will follow in Mount Macrina Cemetery, Uniontown, PA.

Parastas Service will be held in the funeral home Sunday evening at 7 PM.
