Mildred Marie (Holloman) Welc of Filbert passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2019, on her 93rd birthday. She was born in Lambert, Fayette County, a daughter of Andrew Holloman Sr. and Susan Polosky Holloman.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John S. Welc; brothers: William Holloman, Thomas Holloman and Andrew Holloman Jr.
Mildred worked as a teacher’s aide for many years in the Brownsville Area School District. Mildred’s family would like to thank Amedisys Home Health Care for their compassionate services.
Mildred is survived by her son, John J. Welc of Filbert; brothers: Rudy Holloman and Charles Holloman, both of Uniontown; many nieces and nephews.
Mildred’s family will have a private visitation followed by visitation on Thursday morning from 9 – 10 a.m. in the Kish-Fabry Funeral Home, Inc. 20 N. Mill Street, New Salem. Prayers of Transfer will be held at 10 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM. in St Francis of Assisi R. C. Church (Footedale worship site) with Father William G. Berkey as Celebrant. Entombment will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, PA.
