Merrily Ujchick, 81, of Stone Church Road, New Salem passed peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, November 4, 2023. Merrily is survived by her daughters, Tammy and Bob Gordon, Melanie and Jeff Brosky, and Missy and Mike Dillon: grandchildren, Bobby and Garnet Gordon, Kristen and Marty Smith, Brandon Brosky, Dylan Brosky, Cameron Brosky, Jace Dillon and Gia D i l l o n; gr eat -grandchildren, Maxin Mehalik, Riley Smith, Kole Smith, Andrew Gordon, and Daniel Gordon; sisters, Marion Luke and Jackie Brashear. Predeceased by her loving husband, Melvin Ujchick, her parents, John and Martha Kearns, and sisters, Gloria Kovach and Shirley Minkus. Merrily was an exceptional wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her joy was reflected through her constant smile and gentle eyes. Merrily was the life of every party where she frequently burst out into song and dance. She was sports enthusiast when it came to her grandsons on the field. She enjoyed playing bingo, word search puzzles, and daily outings with her husband. Even as her memory failed, Merrily’s eyes shined so bright with love for her family. The family would like to thank Jennie’s Personal Care for their great care of Merrily and offer sincere gratitude to the wonderful staff who comforted and cared for her in the last few years of her life. Also, a special thank you to the kind and compassionate team from Amedysis Hospice Care in Uniontown. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 7, in the KISH-FABRY FUNERAL HOME, INC., Republic, where a blessing will be held on Wednesday November 8 at 10 a.m. with Father Efren Ambre, as celebrant. Entombment follows at the Chapel Mausoleum, Lafayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill.
