Martha Ann (Fierschnaller) Huskin, age 92 of Richeyville formerly of Filbert Heights passed away on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 peacefully surrounded by family and friends. She was born in Filbert on July 29, 1925, a daughter of Frank and Louise Peters Fierschnaller.
In addition to her parents she preceded in death by her husband, Donald Huskin; son, Donald R. Huskin; siblings: identical twin sister, Mary Andalora, Edward Fierschnaller, Agnes Gould and Gertrude Tausel.
Mischievous was a word used to describe her by family and friends. She found humor in telling naughty jokes in her “little old lady way” everywhere that she and her beloved twin went. But please do not fear, she would attend mass and volunteer at St. Procopius Church. A mother to all, she showed her love with her joyous laughter, home-style cooking, and trinkets she found during shopping excursions. She will be honored for years to come by her family and friends as they share stories of her many adventures.
Martha is survived by her daughter, Kathy Galderise of Richeyville, two granddaughters: Barbara Stepp (Jason) of Suffolk, VA; Roxanne Wray (David) of Scenery Hill, four great grandchildren: Donald and Abby Stepp and Ashton and Alden Wray. Martha was loved by many including her numerous nieces and nephews and her “other daughter”, Jaynie Smith.
Martha’s family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m. on Sunday, June 17, 2018 in the Kish-Fabry Funeral Home, Inc., 1 Legion Street, Republic, PA 15475 where her prayer service by Deacon Barry Krofcheck will take place at 5 p.m. Interment will be private.
