Margaret E. “Cookie” Dunlap Lynn, 81, Smock (Formerly of New Salem), passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2025, in WVU Ruby Hospital, Morgantown, WV. She was born September 11, 1943, in Rowes Run, a daughter of the late John and Wilma (Nutt) Dunlap.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Charles A. Lynn, Sr., siblings, John Dunlap, Wilson Dunlap, Bob Dunlap, Shirley (Al) Mulraney, Harry Dunlap & Nila Alaimo, brother & sisters-in-law, Harold “Pete” Lynn, Freda (Jim) Smith, Marlene (Orville) Meeks, Nancy (Kenny) Bargdill.
She enjoyed going to bingo, watching QVC, watching the Steelers, and most importantly spending time with her family & friends.
Left to cherish Margaret’s memory are her loving children: Lora (Chuck) Dupont, Lisa (Lonnie) Pavtis & Charles A. (Michele) Lynn, Jr.; grandchildren: Gabrianna Lynn & Brandon Lynn; her only surviving sibling, Richard (Phyllis) Dunlap; brother-in-law Ron (Gerri) Lynn, the following sisters- in-law Brenda Dunlap, Joan Dunlap, Jeanette Dunlap; many nieces and nephews, A Special Companion Gerald Garbutt and their beloved cat. Special thanks to Gail Price for her care & support.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Kish–Fabry Funeral Home, Inc. 19 Legion Street, Republic, Pa. In accordance with Margaret’s wishes, there will be no public viewing. Interment took place at LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.
