John Thomas (Cup) Brosky lll, 71, of Republic died Sunday June 16th, 2024 at his residence surrounded by his loving family, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was born May 20th, 1953, in Brownsville, PA, a son of John & Joan Benucci Brosky
In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his father and mother in law Kasmier and Kathryn Moncheck
John was a 1971 graduate of Redstone High School and worked for more than 51 years at U.S. Steel Clairton Works. He was also a life member of the Republic Volunteer Fire Company for more than 50 years as well as a member of the Fairbanks Rod & Gun Club.
Tommy as he was known to everyone, met his beloved wife Robin in 1984 after their mutual friend played match maker. They were married 5 years later and enjoyed a long happy marriage of over 35 years.
Tom enjoyed all seasons, but he enjoyed summer the most. He was always busy. If he was not tanning on the deck by his pool, he was always busy working on one of his many projects. Tom loved spending summer Sunday’s poolside with his granddaughters. In the fall, there was nothing Tom loved more than watching the Pittsburgh Steelers alongside his sons and then unwinding in the evenings with a movie with his wife. During hunting season Tom was out in the woods before daybreak, mostly accompanied by his brothers. He had formed an unbreakable bond with his K9 companion, Ace. Who was loyal and by his side until the very end.
Tom is survived by his loving wife Robin Lee Moncheck Brosky; his sons: Justin T. Brosky & wife Destiny and Nathaniel R. Brosky both of Republic; granddaughters: Daniyah & Jaylani; brothers: Richard D. Brosky, Sr. and wife Barb, of Republic, and Jeffrey A. Brosky and wife Melanie of East Millsboro; sister-In-Law Bernadine & Charles Moore of Ralph; his beloved golden retriever, Ace; special friend Andy Macey; many nieces & nephews.
Tom’s family will receive friends at the Kish-Fabry Funeral Home, Inc. 19 Legion Steet, Republic, PA Thursday June 20th 2024 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. When a Celebration of John’s life will take place at the funeral home at 7 PM concluding with a Fireman’s farewell service conducted by The Republic Volunteer Fire Company.
