John J. Varhach

John J. Varhach, age 98, of Republic PA., passed away Monday, May 27, 2019 in Generations Elder Care, Uniontown, PA. He was born on Monday, June 14, 1920 in Marguerite, PA., son of Andy J Varhach and Anna (Dorko) Varhach.

John was a member of the former Holy Rosary Church, Republic, now Saint Francis of Assisi Parish. He was a United States Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. John was a retired accountant from the automotive industry.  He was a volunteer at the Saint Vincent DePaul store in Uniontown, PA.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Olear; brothers, Andrew Varhach and Paul Varhach.

Surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in KISH-FABRY FUNERAL HOME, INC., 19 Legion Street, Republic, PA., Sunday, June 2, from 4 to 6 p.m. and on Monday, June 3, 2019 until 9:30 a.m. when a Prayers of Transfer will be held. A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Francis of Assisi R. C. Church, (Footedale Worship Site) with Father William G. Berkey as Celebrant. Interment will follow in Holy Rosary Cemetery Republic, PA.
