Gloria Jean (Winkler) Sloan

Gloria J. Sloan age 67 of Labelle PA died Thursday January 3, 2019 in HCR Manor Whitehall, PA she was born June 13, 1951 in St Louis, Missouri The daughter of Walter Winkler and Jeanette Happold.

Gloria was a veteran and former Corpsman of the United States Navy. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse working for Jefferson Regional Medical Center and HCR Manor Care in Whitehall. She was both a Girl Scout and Cub Scout Leader.  Gloria was also a former member of the Hopewell Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by her daughter Kimberly A. DeLorenzo and husband Michael A. of Gold Canyon, AZ;   son Samuel A. Sloan Jr. of Labelle, PA;  grandchildren: Kayla M.  DeLorenzo of Gilbert, AZ. Alexa DeLorenzo of Gold Canyon, AZ and Ethan M. DeLorenzo of Gold Canyon, AZ; sister Mary Klaustermeier and husband Dennis of Hamel, Illinois; brothers: Walter Winkler of St Ann, Missouri, Charles Winkler and wife Tammy of Chesapeake, VA, John Winkler of St Charles, Missouri and David Winkler of Hamel, Illinois; her faithful companion and loving dog Jessie

Gloria’s family will receive friends from 10 AM to 1 PM and 3 PM to 7 PM. on Saturday, January 12, 2019 in the Kish-Fabry Funeral Home, Inc., 19 Legion Street, Republic, PA. A Funeral Service will be held at 7 PM with Pastor Debbie Lynch, officiating. Interment is private. Full Military Honors will be accorded by the George C. Marshal Post 103 AMVETS of Hopwood.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Gloria’s name to Fayette Friends of Animals P. O. Box 1282, Uniontown, PA 15401 where she was a proud volunteer.
