Frank F. Chrobak, age 91 of E. Millsboro passed away on Friday, January 11, 2019. He was born on January 10, 1928 in E. Millsboro, a son of Joseph and Rozalia Szaftarska Chrobak.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years Helen Juran Chrobak who passed away on December 31, 2018; siblings: Josephine Mamot, infant Helen, Stanley Roebuck, Nellie Fudala, John Chrobak, Joseph Chrobak, Louise Bohna.
Frank is survived by numerous nieces and nephews; many grandnieces and grandnephews.
Frank lived a simple country life where he was an avid golfer, enjoyed hunting, watching the Steelers and the Pirates. He was a member of St. James R. C. Church in LaBelle and worked at Gateway Coal Company for 37 years.
Frank proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II from 1946 – 1949 serving in the Philippines.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Lafayette Manor’s staff, nurses and doctors for the outstanding care given to Frank.
Frank’s family will receive friends from 1 to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 in the Kish-Fabry Funeral home, Inc., 19 Legion Street, Republic, PA. A Blessing Service will be held at 4 p.m. in the funeral home with Father, Thumma Fathimareddy as Celebrant, followed by full military rites and honors being accorded by the George C. Marshall Post 103 AMVETS of Hopwood.
