Evelyn Marie (Ritchey) Johnson

Evelyn Marie (Ritchey) Johnson, 89 East Millsboro passed away peacefully on Sunday January 20, 2019 at Cherry Tree Nursing Center.  She was born on June 21, 1929 in Fredericktown, PA the daughter of Wallace Ritchey Sr. and Julia (Rohol) Ritchey. 

She is preceded in death by her husband, Grover C. Johnson, son Dennis W. Johnson, brothers, Wallace Jr., Robert, and Kenneth Ritchey.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Ruth A. (Ted) Pappas, 6 grandsons, Ted, Jason, and Michael Pappas and Dennis (DJ), James and Shawn Johnson, brothers and sisters, John (Denie) Ritchey, Audrey Ganoe, Clarence (Wendy) Ritchey, Joanne Jordan and Jean Jordan, 11 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and special companion David B Watters. 

Evelyn loved taking care of her flowers, going to yard sales, painting winter scenes on canvas, cooking the special Sunday dinners. and making pancakes for her great-grandchildren.

A special thanks to Dr. Singh, the staff at Cherry Tree Nursing Center, the Amedisys nurses and a special thanks to Leah for the gentle care she gave to Evelyn.

Friends will be received at the Kish-Fabry Funeral Home, Republic PA on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Thursday from 10-11 a.m. the hour of her funeral service with Rev. Don Henderson officiating. Interment will be held at Acklin Cemetery.
