Cicely “Cic” Marion Forcina, 88, from Republic passed away peacefully on the morning of July 18, 2024, at the home of her daughter where she has been residing for the past year. She was born March 26, 1936 in Brownsville, PA, a daughter of Marion and Madalon LaVerdi .
Cic was preceded in death by her parents; her sister and brother in law, Roberta and Clint Guthrie; husband, Dominick; son, Dominic Jr.; 2 grandsons: Nicky Forcina and Noah Allen Cooper; great grandson, Jacob Wilson Forcina; and her special friend Bill Jeffries.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory a daughter, Lesli Cooper; grandson, Marcus Cooper; granddaughter, Nicole Forcina; brother, Ambrose LaVerdi; along with 3 great grandsons; several nieces. She will be sadly missed by her close friend Virginia Quarrick and a very special cousin whom Cic considered to be like a sister to her, Avie Murray. Also left behind are several brother and sister in laws.
Anyone who knew Cic knew she loved to paint ceramics, loved her yard, and caring for her flowers. She could never wait for summer so she could sit on her back porch, walk around the patch, and talk with neighbors. And by far what she looked forward to most was decorating her yard for Halloween and Christmas.
We would like to thank Suncrest Hospice for the care they provided. Specifically, we want to thank Melissa Dunmeyer, Francesca Pounds, Kathleen Marks, and Monica Piper. Also, a special thank you to Tammy Orr who was Cic’s caregiver during the day. We appreciate what you all did.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation at www.curethekids.org.
In honoring Cic’s wishes a private family viewing followed by interment in Lafayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa was held on Monday, July 22, 2024.
The Kish-Fabry Funeral Home, Inc., Republic, Pa has been entrusted with Cic’s professional funeral arrangements.
