Cheryl Ann (Samol) Kolek

Cheryl Ann Kolek, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, age 71 of New Salem, PA passed away on Friday, January 9, 2026 with her loving family by her side. She was born August 30, 1954 in Brownsville, a daughter of William and Etta Ruth Samol.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her infant sister, Cindy.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Anthony Kolek; children: Melissa (Jeffrey) Davis, of Brownsville, PA and Jason (Jennifer) Kolek of New Salem, PA; four grandchildren: Jeffrey Jr. (Anna), Jacob, Kylie, Aubree.

Cheryl’s family will receive friends Tuesday, January 13, 2026 from 4:00 - 7:00 P.M. at the Kish Fabry Funeral Home, Inc., 19 Legion Street, Republic, PA where Prayers of Transfer will be prayed at 9:15 A.M. on Wednesday followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 A.M. in St. Francis of Assisi (Footedale worship site). Interment will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, PA.
