Betty Doris Dirda

Betty Doris Dirda, age 90, of Uniontown, PA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 3, 2018 in the Mount Macrina Manor Nursing Home.

She was born on September 1, 1927 in Thompson Two, PA, a daughter of John Dirda and Ann Bilconish Dirda.

Betty was member of the Saint Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, Brownsville, PA.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Dirda in infancy and a sister Anna Mae Dirda.

Betty is survived by sister: Charlotte M. Dirda of Uniontown, PA; brothers: John Dirda Jr. and wife Mary and Robert Dirda and wife Patricia all of Northfield, OH, Paul Dirda and wife Rose of Uniontown, PA, and Thomas Dirda and wife Mary of McKees Rocks, PA; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Betty’s family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Monday, May 7, 2018 in the KISH-FABRY FUNERAL HOME, INC., 1 Legion Street, Republic PA, and Tuesday, May 8, 2018 until 9:15 a.m. when a Panachida Service will be held.

Divine Liturgy will follow at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, 302 Third Ave., Brownsville, PA, with the Rev. Father Christopher R. Burke as the Celebrant.

Interment will follow in Mount Saint Macrina Cemetery, Uniontown, PA.

A Parastas Service will be held in funeral home on Monday at 7:00 p.m.
