Angela Smith Pikulski, age 80, of New Salem passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2019, at her home surrounded by her loving daughters. She was born in Celinovec, Bosnia (Yugoslavia) February 2, 1939, a daughter of Adam and Josephine Najdek Smith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Pikulski.
Angela was a lifetime member of St. Francis of Assisi (formerly St. Thomas R. C. Church) where she was a member and past officer of the Confraternity of Christian Mothers. She will be remembered for her strength, deep faith, and unconditional love for her family. She was a very special daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She was loved by many and will be sadly missed by all.
Angela is survived by her four loving daughters: Debora (Melvin) Apicella, Suzanne (Nael) Al-Kabariti, Theresa (Mark) Edenfield, and Kathleen (Matthew) Parrish; nine grandchildren whom she held so very dear to her heart: Jennifer, David, Regina, Nicholas, Lucas, Nathaniel, Matthew, Jr., Maximilian, and Michael; four great grandchildren; and her dear brothers and sisters: Frank (June) Smith, Anna Mays, Joseph (Chantal) Smith, John (Carol) Smith, Bruno Smith, Catherine Petipas, Walter Smith, Stanley (Cindi) Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Angela’s family will receive friends from 2-8 p.m. on Sunday, March 24, 2019, at Kish-Fabry Funeral Home, Inc., 20 North Mill Street, New Salem, PA, where Prayers of Transfer will be said Monday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St Francis of Assisi R.C. Church (Footedale worship site) with Father William G. Berkey as Celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Thomas Cemetery, Footedale, PA.
The Rosary will be prayed by members of St. Francis of Assisi Christian Mothers in the Funeral Home at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday.
Valet parking will be available during hours of visitation.
