Andrea Lynn Broadwater Shaw age 72 passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, February 8, 2025 in Penncraft, Pa where she made her home. She was born on January 5, 1953 in Brownsville Hospital, the daughter of Donald Merle and Wanda Naomi Flick Broadwater.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas,infant sister, Paula, infant brother, Chester.
Andrea graduated from Brownsville High School in 1970 and married the love of her life, Francis Shaw a year later. She remained a faithful member of the Hopewell United Presbyterian Church for many years. Andie, as her husband affectionately called her, pursued her dreams of being a mother and homemaker, both of which she did extremely well and took great pride in.
Andie is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Francis Shaw; children: Jennifer Shaw (Vernon), Johnathan Shaw; grandchildren: Derek Brangard (Taylor), Bret Brangard (Tia), Kody Shaw (Tara), Vanessa Hostetler (Matt), Adam Brangard (Alyssa); great grandchildren: Presley, Levi, Olivia, Weslyn; brother, Donald Broadwater (Janet); sister, Melody Kopacka (George); numerous nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered.
Andrea’s family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 in the Kish-Fabry Funeral Home, Inc., 19 Legion Street, Republic, Pa where her funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 10 am. Interment will follow at Acklin Burial Park, Brownsville, Pa.
