Wendell Rollison, Sr.

Wendell Rollison, Sr., age 91, of Thompson #1, passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at his home. He was surrounded with loving care from his wife, Joyce. He was born on August 12, 1927 in LaBelle, Pennsylvania to Henry and Stella Rollison (nee’ Balsinger).

He was pre-deceased by his parents and first wife Thelma as well as sons Kirk and Jeffery and daughters Cheryl Furlong and Lori Elsbury and grandchildren Corbin Jeffries and Jon Paul Weber.

To carry on his memory, he leaves behind five children: Sandra Weber and husband John, Linda Robaugh and husband Carl, Wendell Rollison Jr. and partner Tammy, Luann Settles and husband Dayton, Corey Rollison and partner Ashley; Also surviving is grandson who he raised as his own in Jason Rollison and wife Jessica. In addition, he will be remembered by 19 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.

His early life saw military service in the U. S. Army from 1945 through 1947. After his service, he spent his working years as an electrician. His days were often filled with thoughts of fishing and hunting, both of which he enjoyed immensely and often. During fishing season, he could be reliably found at Dunlap Creek Lake or sprinting up to Lake Erie with his best friend and fishing partner George Swabey.

Memorial services will be private and shared at a later date with friends and family.
