Ronald David Wingrove, age 72, of Ralph, PA passed away suddenly at his home on Wednesday, September 11, 2019. He was born on February 22, 1947 in North Union, PA, a son of Charles and Hazel Tracy Wingrove.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, James Wingrove, Sr.; grandson: James Wingrove Jr.; sister: Judy Griest; brothers: Robert C. Wingrove and Richard A. Wingrove.
Ron was employed by Maple Creek Mine and retired after 27 years of service as a continuous miner operator. He was also an avid outdoorsman where he loved to shoot, hunt and fish. He was a member of the NRA, United Mine Workers of America and the Brownsville American Legion.
Ron is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Janet Marie Pahula Wingrove; sons: Ronald D. Wingrove and his wife, Lisa of Ralph, Gregory Scott Wingrove and his wife, Brenda of Smithfield, PA; grandchildren: Dylan, Zach, David, Jessica; sister, Cathy Spaw of Pittsburgh; sisters in law: Shirley Baer of Ralph, Martha Wingrove of Grindstone, Carol Wingrove of TX; numerous nieces and nephews.
Ron’s family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at the Kish-Fabry Funeral Home, Inc., 19 Legion Street, Republic, PA where a blessing service will take place on Wednesday at 10 a.m. with Father William Berkey as celebrant.
