Paul J. “Butch” Moscovits 76 of Brownsville, PA died suddenly Wednesday August 14, 2019 at his home. He was born February 18, 1943 in Republic, PA the son of the late Anthony and Theresa M (Tassone) Moscovits.
He was preceded in death by his wife Jonnetta Poyle Moscovits and his sister Toni Marie Condor.
Butch was a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church and a former member of Holy Rosary Church in Republic. He was a member of the Steel Workers Union in Malsbary/Carlisle holding the position of secretary. Butch currently was the President of BWE in Republic, specializing in the manufacturing of explosive packaging. He also was a past member of the Republic Volunteer Fire Company.
Butch is survived by his brother Joseph A. “Muskie” Moscovits and wife Francie of Brownsville, special and loving companion Irene Kostelnic McCarthy of Brownsville and brother-in law Charles Condore of Fayetteville, PA and many special loving and caring nieces and nephews.
Butch’s family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, August 16, 2019 at the Kish-Fabry Funeral Home, Inc., 19 Legion Street, Republic, PA where Prayers of Transfer will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at the Saint Francis of Assisi Church, (Footedale Worship Site) with Father William G.
