Paul Kishel Obituary

Paul Francis Kishel, age 74, of Allison 2 passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at his home. He was born June 2, 1945 in Allison 2, a son of Adam and Elizabeth Kuty Kishel.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by siblings: Eddie Kishel, Barbara Bohach, Betty Kovach, Sandra Schoch, and Albert Kishel.

Paul is survived by his loving wife of 51 1/2 years, Joanne A. Hess Kishel; children: Kimberly (Robert) Rhodes of Brownsville, Kelly (Don) Lovis of Williamsburg, VA, Karrie (Bruce) Roberts of Belle Vernon, Paul (Stephanie) Kishel of Allison 2; grandchildren: Hayden Rhodes, Caroline Lovis, Greyson Rhodes,  Ethan Lovis, Matthew Kishel, Ruby Roberts, Rosewyn Roberts, Jacob Kishel, and Ridley Roberts; brothers: John Kishel and Steve Kishel; Goddaughter, Susan Lent; numerous nieces and nephews.    

Paul was a member of the St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. After graduating from Redstone High School in 1963 Paul joined the United States Army proudly serving his country in Germany. Paul worked as a tool grinder for over 30 years at CP Industries in McKeesport.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards, gardening, watching westerns, cooking and canning. He also enjoyed traveling with his wife, family and friends. He had several trips to Las Vegas, cruises to the Bahamas and Alaska (which was a lifetime dream), vacationed in the Outer Banks for over 30 years, and many places throughout the continental U. S. He was also a member of many clubs and organizations including: Republic American Legion, Hancock-McCune American Legion in Centerville, Allison Sportsman’s Club, California Italian Club. He founded the Allison Football Club serving as President for many years. Paul was active in St. Peter’s Lutheran Church softball Association. He was a firefighter for Allison Fire Department. He coached the Allison Little League for a few years. Paul was also a past Central Committeeman.

The family would like to thank Albert Gallatin Amedisys Hospice, Pastor Jim Engel and Fayette Ambulance Service for all the loving care extended to Paul and his family.  

Paul’s family will receive friends 2 - 8 p.m. on Sunday, June 9, 2019 at the Kish-Fabry Funeral Home, Inc., 19 Legion Street, Republic, PA. Additional Visitation will be held from 9 – 11a.m. on Monday at St. Peters Lutheran Church, 121 Walnut Hill Road, Uniontown, PA where a Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday with Pastor Jim Engel, officiating. Interment will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, PA.
