August John Tokish, III

August John Tokish, III, age 69, of Monongahela (Herbert, PA) passed away on Monday, October 21, 2019 formerly of Union Hall Road, Carlisle, PA. He was born in Brownsville on July 7, 1950, a son of August J. Tokisk Jr. and Frances Louise Guy Tokish.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by nieces: Tammy Ann and Leslie Ann Holland.
Augie was a coal miner with Maple Creek Mine and then a truck driver for Roadway Trucking located in Carlisle, PA. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, Carlisle, PA and the International Brotherhood of Teamsters. Augie loved riding his motorcycle with his friends and hanging out with them at his garage.
Augie is survived by a daughter, Amanda Tokish and friend Will of California, PA; son, Nicholas Tokish and his wife Tricia of the state of Indiana and their children: Abagail, Ayden and Camden; sisters: Karen Holland and her husband Don and their daughter, Laura of Allison, PA
Mary Ann Tokish and Dan Guthrie and their son, Daniel of Herbert, PA, great nephew Chance Guthrie, great niece Cecilia Guthrie, Mary Kathryn Mumaw and her husband John (Rusty) of Dearth, PA; brother, John Tokish and his wife Karen of Monongahela, PA; faithful dog, Eli; many friends in Carlisle: Perry (Perk) Hartzell and his wife Lisa whom Augie considered a brother, Pete, George, Andy and Ben, his garage buddy’s and all his friends at St Pat’s especially the adoration members that he was member of.
A special thank you to Dr. Paul Rast and his wife Robyne of Boiling Springs, PA for his spiritual guidance as well as his medical and business expertise.

Augie’s family will receive friends from 5:00 -8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at the Kish Fabry Funeral Home, Inc., 20 N. Mill Street, New Salem, PA where a Blessing Service will be held at 8:00 p.m. with Father William G. Berkey as celebrant. Interment is private.
